All prints are made by myself and each of them is an individual!
Whether it's an art print, a tote bag, or a T-shirt, the handcrafted nature of each piece results in slight variations and imperfections. These are not defects but rather details that give each item its own charm and uniqueness.
Grumpy Bob Creation is an artist specialized in handmade created in various techniques with various materials prints, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. The designs are mostly inspred by animals, the artists pets, nature and a touch of Japan.
All prints are created in small batches up to 20 pieces and will only be restocked once they have been sold out.
Every print you can get is signed, titled and numbered on the back. Usually print makers do this on the front of the print, but I personally prefer the back. If you would like me to sign the front just let me know!
Bob was our veiled chameleon! Typical for his species the corners of the mouth point downwards, so he always looks super grumpy. He has been the inspiration behind my first prints, so it's only fair to name this project after him.
Unfortunately he passed away 2024.
While the majority of my prints are art prints on handmade paper.
I also offer textiles, like T-Shirts or Tote Bags as well as decorative lamps or light images.
Due to the manual techniques I use to create my prints I only offer each design in one size. For example the "Maneki-Neko" print will always be on DIN A5 paper, while the "Moon-Bunny" print will always be on DIN A3.
Overall you can find my art prints ranging from DIN A6 to DIN A3 and my T-Shirts from S-XXL.
Most of my prints are made using screen printing or linol cutting / block printing. I mainly use water based ink in several colors and prefer to print on handmade paper like Lokta or Awagami. For block printing I highly rely on the support of my printing press.
I can be found at the artist alley of many anime and manga conventions in Germany!
