What is "Grumpy Bob Creations"?

Grumpy Bob Creation is an artist specialized in handmade created in various techniques with various materials prints, based in Düsseldorf,Germany.
The designs are mostly inspred by animals, the artists pets, nature and a touch of Japan.

Why the name "Grumpy Bob"?

Bob is my husbands veiled chameleon!
Typical for his species his corners of the mouth point downwards, so he always looks super grumpy. He has been the inspiration behind my first prints, so it's only fair to name this project after him.

What materials and techniques do you use?

Most of my prints are made using screen printing or linol cutting / block printing.
I only use water based ink in several colors and prefer to print on handmade paper like Lokta or Awagami. Sometimes I dare to make some experiments with fabric as well.
For block printing I highly rely on the support of my printing press, while for screen printing I use a selfmade wooden framework.

Do you have a local store as well?

No, I only have my virtual etsy shop. But I can be found at the artist alley of some anime and manga converntions in Germany.

Do you do printing for a living?

No, this is just a hobby for me :) My 9-5 job is being a project manager in software development, which makes me happy as well!
